Katharine D. Hardwick Papers, 1931-1974.

Katharine Davis Hardwick was active in the field of social work and Director of the Simmons College School of Social Work from 1929-1952. The collection contains biographical materials, newspaper clippings, notes, a scrapbook, two reports on the Boston Department of Public Welfare (Overseers of the Public Welfare in the City of Boston), a letter from Anna Freud and three histories in manuscript form including a history of the Cape Cod Mental Health Association, of the Simmons College School of Social Work and of Boston private charities. The collection also contains materials used in the Day Report, a study of graduates of the Simmons College School of Social Work between 1931-35.
