Correspondence and research notes for his book Ice Crash (1979) that recounts the story of the air-ship Italia commanded by Umberto Nobile. The material is pasted into five scrapbooks. Included is correspondence with Gertrude Nobile as well as others who were involved in the rescue mission. Also included are reviews of the book, a serialized version, and some correspondence relating to McKee's book Into the blue (1982).
