James Perry Cole oral history interview, 1977.

Interview discusses Cole's dealings with Louisiana State University as a student, faculty member, and administrator from 1905 to the 1940s. Includes his working relationships with Thomas D. Boyd, Troy H. Middleton, Lewis B. Sorley, Fred Charles Frey, Ione Burden, James Monroe Smith, Arden French, James F. Broussard, William Vann Parker, and Harold Stoke. Topics include his work as Dean of Student Affairs, organization of the Louisiana State Guard, and organizing the first Boys' and Girls' State meets in 1940 and 1941 respectively.
