Rachel Lyons Heustis papers, 1859-1864 [manuscript].

Papers of Rachel Lyons of Columbia, S.C., later Mrs. James Fountain Heustis, including five letters from Augusta Jane Evans Wilson (1835-1909), Alabama novelist; two poems (on microfilm) from Henry Timrod (1828-1867); and love letters from Confederate soldiers. One of the Timrod poems is titled "Rachel"; it is signed and dated January (?) 19, 1862. The other is headed "To Rachel," and is unsigned and undated.
