A list compiled for a project in which she, Dr. F.J. Furnivall, and Col. Joseph Lemuel Chester were intending to cooperate (as may be seen by the letters of Col. Chester which are laid in the volume) to find and summarize the wills of the British authors and actors of the period. At the front Miss Smith has listed the reference books most frequently used by her.
