This collection contains the photocopy of a letter to Joseph M. Walsh, 3 February 1932 from Franklin Delano Roosevelt, then Governor of New York, in response to a letter from Walsh in early 1932 when reports first appeared in the press that FDR was being groomed for the presidential nomination. The collection also contains the official program of the Ceremonies for the Third Inauguration of Franklin D. Roosevelt, President of the United States, and the Inauguration of Henry A. Wallace, Vice President of the United States, January 20, 1941.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt was born on January 30, 1882, in Hyde Park, New York. He was the son of James (lawyer, financier) and Sara (Delano) Roosevelt.
