Papers of Wesley Redhead, 1852-1893.

The papers of Wesley Redhead document his business activities in early Des Moines. There are diaries and account books, business correspondence, and tax receipts concerning his business ventures which ranged from bookselling to coal mining. Letters from Samuel Kirkwood, a partner in the Black Diamond Coal Company, are also included.
