Scattered papers, chiefly relating to Caldwell's student days at the College of New Jersey (later Princeton University) and his administrative work at the University of North Carolina. Also included are a deed for land in Chapel Hill, N.C., and letters to his brother, Samuel H. Caldwell of Palmyra, N.Y., regarding a visit. Volumes include sermons, 1830-1831, and student notes on Caldwell's new system of geometry, 1806. Some items are photostats.
