Stephen Lee Taller Ben Shahn Archive, 1982-1997.

The Stephen Lee Taller Ben Shahn Archive consists of over 8,000 items. Some graphic works by Ben Shahn are held by the Fogg Art Museum, including original drawings, prints and posters. The Library's holdings consist of approximately 7,355 items including printed books, periodicals and ephemera relating to the life and work of the artist. The majority of the printed material consists of books written or illustrated by Ben Shahn. There is also a substantial amount of catalogs including: individual and group exhibitions, auction, museum, print, and poster catalogs. Shahn's relationship to Edith Halpert and the Downtown Gallery is also documented. Ephemera includes transcripts of interviews, manuscripts, unpublished speeches, scholarly papers, pamphlets, and newspaper clippings. The audio-visual material encompasses film, video, and audiotapes of and about Shahn. Some of the aforementioned categories also contain material about Shahn's second wife Bernard Bryson Shahn, and his children Judith Shahn, Jonathan Shahn, and Abby Shahn Slamm, all of whom are professional artists.
