Katy Hinrichs papers, 1972-1982.

This collection of Katy Hinrichs' papers encompasses material from the many incarnations of a museum dedicated to health and science in Cincinnati. It is arranged into two series: Series I. General Files and Series II. Minutes, Agendas and Reports. Each series is also divided into sub-series of each incarnation of the museum, The Child Health Association, Cincinnati Health and Science Center, Museum of Health Science and Industry and other institutions. These subseries provide a general arrangement to the folders. Some folders, however, cover more than one stage of the museum's development. The collection documents the growth and development of the museum and the support provided by the city and medical community. Researchers might find the correspondence and brainstorming with consultants interesting (Box 1 folders 9 and 34, and Box 2 folder 7) as well as the attempt to create a historical center on the Ohio riverfront (Box 1 folders 4 and 27) and discussions about a possible Omnimax theater (Box 2 folders 6 and 9).
