Letter by Sir Joseph Banks regarding a voyage to New Zealand and the harsh treatment of Lord Camelford by Captain George Vancouver on the "Discovery" -Camelford being flogged on Vancouver's orders. The letter was possibly written in 1796 or thereabouts -cf. The Banks Letters / ed. Warren R. Dawson, p. 609, nos. 19-20.
