Papers of Geoffrey Rothwell [manuscript]. 1942-1987.

The collection has been arranged into 20 series including the following: 1. Correspondence (1942-1987), comprising business, personal and family correspondence. The main correspondents include Cecil Edwards, Noel Pelly, Henri Sabourin, Connie Gardener, Nancy Giles and Godfrey Tanner. 2. Diaries (1944-1970) containing personal and business appointments, records of daily events, and names and addresses of associates and friends. 3. Writings (1945-1980). Drafts of plays, essay and poems mostly written by Rothwell. 4. Theatre companies, series 7-12 containing papers relating to Rothwell's employment with the Arts Council of Australia, the Australian Elizabethan Theatre Trust, the Old Tote Theatre Company, the National Institute of Dramatic Art and Onshow Productions. 5. Other series contain photographs, financial papers, invitations, printed works, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings and papers relating to his father, Leslie Lloyd Rothwell.
