1. Letterbook of Adolarius Humphrey, 1803-4, contains copies of 16 letters to Charles Greville (Vice-Chamberlain & his patron); Humphrey's parents George & Sarah; Mr J.J. Swainson. The letters describe his voyage to Australia on board the ships Ocean & Calcutta, attempted first settlement at Port Phillip & subsequent foundation of Hobart. Copies are not written in Humphrey's hand. 2. Six letters from Adolarius Humphrey to his aunt, father, sister, 1807-1921. 3. Manuscript workbook, ca. 1806-25, of Adolarius Humphrey including notes on the running of Bushy Park Estate. 4. Miscellaneous documents, 1803-1896 (mostly 1829-1863), relating to A. Humphrey, his heirs & to their ownership of Bushy Park Estate.
