Letters to Von Mueller from George Bentham, Sir William Hooker, and Dr J. D. Hooker. Parts of the letters have been transcribed completely, while other parts have been summarized. The letters deal with Gregory's northern Australia expedition 1856, plants of Australia and India, botanical publications, Sir Joseph Banks' journal (which J. D. Hooker edited), specimens sent by Von Mueller to Kew Gardens, difficulties in naming specimens, the publication of Flora Australiensis, and reactions to Darwin's theory of evolution. Also set of Von Mueller's Iconography of Australian salsolaceous plants (1887-1891) and Iconography of Australian species of acacia and cognate general. (1887).
