Promissary note from Henry Dendy, 1842, January 18. 1842, January 18.

The promissary note records Dendy's extensive property dealings in Brighton, Victoria. The note is a promise to pay James Watson 75 pounds 7 shillings and 11 pence for land in Brighton and is signed twice by Henry Dendy and dated 18 January 1842. The note is endorsed several times: cross-written and signed "receipted payable at the Union Bank, James Watson". On the verso is written "Proved in the Insolvent Estate of James Watson ..."
