Two letters from Helen Richardson concerning her husband, Joseph Stella, including one May 23, 1957 letter to Edgar Preston Richardson (no relation), director of the Archives of American Art and one February 14, 1968 letter to Garnett McCoy, archivist, Archives of American Art. Richardson discusses Stella's works of art as well as her life with Stella, including various tragedies that occured towards the end of his life.
