Columbia research collection, 1936-1942.

A collection of research materials, primarily newspaper, magazine and book abstracts, and indexes, chiefly pertaining to the mining town of Columbia, California, 1850-1879, but including additional materials for Tuolumne County and Calaveras County. The project to compile these materials was directed by Hero Eugene Rensch and performed under the auspices of the U.S. Works Progress Administration and the California State Emergency Relief Administration, California California Division of Parks.
