In 1929 was a captain in 12th Infantry stationed at the Citizens' Military Training Camp, Fort Howard, Md. as a public relations officer. As colonel commanded the Ground Force Training Center at 9th Reinforcement Depot, Fontainebleau, France which was established for the overseas training of U.S. infantry officers in 1945.
