Papers including several letters concerning Bennet Allen, an 18th century Anglican clergymen, pertaining to a riot in Allen's parish and to property he left in America at the time of the Revolution; and correspondence and papers concerning Mayer's interest in Maryland history and archival sources and in the Maryland Historical Society. There are also a few items pertaining to the law practice of Charles F. Mayer, brother of Brantz Mayer, and manuscripts in French and German describing the trade of Ulm.
