Deeds to South Carolina plantations, 1784-1840, and family and Civil War correspondence of Holley, who served in the 17th South Carolina Regiment and in the 1st South Carolina Regiment, Cavalry, in South Carolina and Virginia. Holley was stationed with troops defending Charleston, S.C.; fought in the Richmond, Va., area; and took part in the Gettysburg campaign.
