Abstract of the laws of New England, 1641-1767.

Manuscript copy of John Cotton's "An Abstract of the laws of New England as they are now established," proposed but never adopted as the law of Massachusetts, and published in London in 1641. The copy, made by William Grays in 1767, also contains notes and "a very curious tract ..., " a poem to Sir Henry Vane, the younger, by John Milton.
