Family and clerical correspondence of Douglass and of his wife, Frances Ann Richardson Taylor Douglass. Included are letters of Douglass' wife to her son, Henry P. Taylor, a student at Princeton. Douglass' letters relate chiefly to religious and theological matters; those prior to 1817, when he worked in Christiana, Del., reflect social life and customs there.
