Joshua Martin was born in London County, VA, March 23, 1791. Graduated from Transylvania in 1826. He moved to Xenia in 1813 and opened a successful practice. Married and widowed twice, he was left with an infant daughter. Martin died in Louisville, KY, November 30, 1865 and was buried in Xenia, Ohio.
