Account book, 1836-1861.

In July 1836, John Smith purchased "his half of the goods" in a general store owned by Potter & Allen. This daybook consists of several sections, some of which are undated, spanning the years 1836 to 1861, and including detailed listings of inventories, accounts due, amounts of notes and interest due, followed by new pagination and entries dealing exclusively with butchering livestock, possibly by Joseph Fobes on his Oakham farm. The first section is headed "Barre Village," while the last section is headed "Oakham."
