Bound, handwritten notes taken by the student A.F. Jessen at the lectures on German history given by Professor F.C. Dahlmann at the University of Kiel in the summer term of 1821. The notes are divided into 6 books, proceeding chronologically through German history from its beginning up to the present day, as follows: 1. up to 843, 2. 843-1125, 3. 1125-1273, 4. 1273-1519, 5. 1519-1648, and 6. from 1648 to the present. The notes proper are preceded by a table of contents (f. 1r) and a note on sources (ff. 1r-3r).
