Lyndon Baines Johnson, also known as LBJ, was born on August 27, 1908 at Stonewall, Texas. He was the first child of Sam Ealy Johnson, Jr., and Rebekah Baines Johnson, and had three sisters and a brother: Rebekah, Josefa, Sam Houston, and Lucia. Samuel Taliaferro Rayburn was born on January 6, 1882, in a rural area of Roane County, Tennessee. At age five, Rayburn, along with his parents and nine siblings, moved to a forty-acre cotton farm in Flag Springs, Texas. One more child was born after the move to Texas, and every member of the family had to do their share to make the farm profitable. John Augustine Tyree, Jr., was born October 3, 1911, in Blackstone, Virginia. He served as Assistant Naval Aide to President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1944 and 1945. He commanded the Seventh Fleet Logistic Support Force, in Sasebo, Japan, from 1958 to 1960. Tyree died on April 8, 2004, in La Jolla, California. From the description of Tyree, John A.
