Interview with O. H. ("Ike") Harris, an attorney and a Republican member of the Texas Senate from Dallas, concerning his experiences and personal views as a member of the Sixty-first Legislature. Harris discusses his biographical information, his decision to enter politics, his personal political philosophy, the one-year budget versus two-year budget, revenue legislation, Governor Preston Smith and Lieutenant Governor Ben Barnes, welfare legislation, the state minimum wage law, and the University of Texas at Dallas.

Senator Hugh Q.
