Thaddeus Weed letter Buffalo, to Sir, 1838 Apr. 20.

Letter to an unidentified man asking for a correct account of the pension presented to Dr. Cyrenius Chapin, so that he can make a court report in the settlement of Chapin's estate. Weed asks if a new style of arithmetic has been adopted under the "Van Buren sovereignty" and expresses a desire to see a copy so he will not fall too far behind "that gigantic mind of Thomas H. Benton". He complains of the expenses to get the papers and pass them through the court.
