Correspondents include Abby W. May, Chairwoman of the Association; Isa E. Gray; Edward Atkinson; Mary G. Davenport, Associate Manager of the Brattleboro, Vermont branch; Joseph Shippen; Frederick N. Knapp; Annie T. Endicott; Frederick L. Olmsted; and James F. Clarke. Correspondence mostly concerns the charitable work of the Association and its connections with the Sanitary Commission, with some detail as to goods and services rendered to Civil War soldiers around New England.
