ALS, 1845 November 28 : Amesbury, [Mass.] to Caspar Wistar, Philadelphia.

Abolitionists centered in Massachusetts are circulating an appeal which they will also bring before Congress urging opposition to admission of Texas as a slave state. Whittier asks Wistar if Philadelphia Yearly Meeting for Sufferings will send a delegation to voice opposition to Congress.
