The collection consists of manuscripts and manuscript drafts for five books and one book chapter written by Howard Washington Odum from 1929-1936. Manuscripts are for Odum's books: AN INTRODUCTION TO SOCIAL RESEARCH (with Katherine Jocher, 1929); THE MEASURE OF A CHANGING NATION (ca. 1932); SOUTHERN REGIONS OF THE UNITED STATES (1936); a chapter from RECENT SOCIAL TRENDS IN THE UNITED STATES ("Public Welfare" 1933); and two novels, WINGS ON MY FEET, BLACK ULYSSES AT THE WARS (1929); and COLD BLUE MOON, BLACK ULYSSES AFAR OFF (1931).
