Records of an organization formed in 1919 to aid district councils and local unions affiliated with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America in organizing and other matters, and to provide carpenters with a united voice on matters of statewide concern. Included is correspondence, minutes, reports, and other files of the State Council, and agreements, minutes, and financial records of member district councils and local unions. Local unions most thoroughly documented are those in Algoma, Green Bay, Kewaunee, Marshfield, Menomonie, New London, and Prairie du Chien. There are also photographs of organization officials and a poster from a collective bargaining election between the AFL and the CIO at the Vulcan Corporation.
