Robert Wickliffe letter, 1895 Apr. 22.

Typed copy of a letter from Robert C. Wickliffe to an "S. McC. Lawrason" of Louisiana. Writing from Shelbyville, Ky., Wickliffe describes the illness, death, and funeral of his father, Robert C. Wickliffe, who died while visiting relatives in Kentucky. Unable to find his father's will among his personal effects in Kentucky, Wickliffe asks Lawrason to assist in looking for the will at the home of relatives in Louisiana.

The son of former Louisiana governor Robert C. Wickliffe, Robert C. Wickliffe II was born in Bardstown, Ky., while his parents were visiting relatives.
