The Maryhill College collection consists of material pertaining to the conception and running of a college for women at St. Edward's University in the late 1960s. The collection includes contractual agreements between St. Edward's University and the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, a timeline of important dates and events from 1964 to 1966 in preparation for the arrival of the IHM Sisters, articles and news releases, posters and brochures, correspondence and curriculum materials, and photographic materials. Correspondence includes letters between Mother Anna Marie, Superior General I.H.M., and Brother Raymond Fleck, President of St. Edward's University concerning the establishment and organization of Maryhill.

Maryhill College was established on the campus of St. Edward's University as part of a coordinate educational program in 1966. The Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary were the administrators of the women's college and made up at least 50% of the faculty.
