Born in Calgary, Alberta, in 1943, Colin Campbell received his B.A. in political science from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, in 1965. After obtaining his M.A. in political science from the University of Alberta in 1966, Campbell earned his Ph.D. in political science at Duke University in 1973.
