Helen C. Wilkerson papers, 1920-1958.

Papers consist of a file of correspondence and related papers Wilkerson accumulated as assistant dean of women along with other items pertaining to her involvement in Baton Rouge women's organizations, balls, and festivals such as the Clanjamfry, Bal Masque, and the Four Square Bridge Club. Included in the papers are a program, dated 1920, of the 75th annual commencement of the Natchez Institute in Natchez, Miss.; four copies of addresses delivered by Charles W. Pipkin, dean of the Graduate School at Louisiana State University, between 1932 and 1936; an address by Harry Gamble of New Orleans, La., to the Louisiana State Legislature in 1932 entitled "The strange case of Louisiana and Huey P. Long"; and the funeral book, dated 1938, of Helen Wilkerson's mother, Minnie Deardorff.
