Arranged in six sets: I. Vocal scores (40). II. Orchestra parts (61). III. Vocal parts (9). IV. Chorus parts (82). V. Promptbooks (11). VI. Dialogue parts (28). The vocal scores are in English and German. The English edition is by O. Ditson (c1884) and the German by Cranz, Hamburg (186-?, pl. no. F.G. 2019) and Schreiber, Wien (1865?, pl. no. 24109). The orchestra parts are manuscript. Sets one and two contain printed parts for the overture (pl. no. P. 1543) bound in several of the manuscript parts. Set three includes miscellaneous parts: one manuscript organ part, a mimeo cello solo part, and two copies of the first violin part for the overture printed by Carl Fischer (c1883, pl. no. 1137-31). The vocal parts include one set of manuscript parts in German and one set of German holograph parts. The chorus parts include two sets of holograph parts in English, one set of mimeo manuscript parts in German, and one set of five German holograph parts. Many of these carry signatures of performers. The promptbooks include six typed copies in English. One book consists of the libretto, in English, pasted into a lined ledger containing manuscript text and labelled "unfinished"; and one is made up of the printed, annotated libretto with bound-in lined pages. It bears the signature of Arthur Bell and is labelled "Jennie Winston Version" on cover. A small playbill is pasted inside the cover listing names of the cast. The dialogue parts include six sets in English, typed, and one set of manuscript German parts.
