Arranged in six groups; I. Vocal scores (16). II. Orchestra parts (350). III. Chorus parts (1). IV. Librettos (2). V. Promptbooks (9). VI. Dialogue parts (10). Vocal scores include three editions by Chappell (London, New York, 1911; rev. ed., 192-?), four editions by Pond (1885 and 1934), and one by Schirmer (New York, 193-?). Most copies are either director's scores or stage manager's guides. The orchestra parts occur as 25 distinct sets, most of which are incomplete. Sets 1-11 are manuscript, sets 12-30 are holographs. Most parts contain performance annotations. Set 3 bears the stamp of Silvers & Dore Musical Library, and set 4 bears Edward Uhlig's name. The single chorus part is also a holograph. The published librettos are both in German. One identifies the Thalia Theatre (c. 1886), the other contains parallel English text. Promptbooks, all in English, include two typed copies, two manuscript versions annotated as stage manager's guides, and five based on the printed libretto. The dialogue parts, which are manuscript, occur as two sets, one bearing the ownership stamp of E.A. McDowell.
