Rigoletto [collection] : melodramma in tre atti / di Francesco Maria Piave ; musica di Giuseppe Verdi. [1850-1940?]

Arranged in four groups: I. Vocal scores (31). II. Orchestra parts (67). III. Chorus parts (82). IV. Promptbooks (2). There are eight editions of vocal scores in the collection, including imprints by Ricordi, Novello, Léon Grus, Escudier, G. Schirmer, Boosey, and Bureau Central. The promptbooks are based on the Schirmer and Novello vocal scores (published music interleaved with pages of manuscript). The chorus parts are holographs in French and German. Orchestra parts are mainly manuscript and include a set for the stage band. There is also a set published by Ricordi. English versions in the collection are by John Oxenford and by Natalia Macfarren. The French version of the opera is by Edouard Duprez.
