Telamon Cuyler collection, 1780-1832.

This collection consists of photocopies of some of the documents from Telamon Cuyler's estate. Most of the papers, consisting of correspondence, a deposition by William Sims, a 1799 Surveyor General's report, and meeting minutes, relate to Georgia State documents that were removed to England during the Revolutionary War and their return to Georgia.

John Houstoun (August 31, 1744 – July 20, 1796) was an American lawyer and statesman from Savannah, Georgia. He was one of the original Sons of Liberty and also a delegate for Georgia in the Second Continental Congress in 1775. He was the Governor of Georgia, from 1778 to 1779 and again from 1784 to 1785.
