G.F. Johnson letter, 1873.

This collection consists of a photocopy of a letter from G.F. Johnson (the name is only partially legible) to his parents, written from Screven House, a hotel in Savannah, Georgia, in 1873. In the letter, Johnson describes his experiences in Savannah and provides a detailed description of Bonaventure Cemetery. He mentions how the city is filled with people from the North, most of whom have taken up occupancy in the best hotels in the city.
