Scrapbook of Caroline L. (Graves) Adams, compiled for Henry S. Graves, M.D., of Hurley, South Dakota. Contains newspaper clippings of poetry, recipes, and news items concerning members of the Graves family and others in and around Williamstown, Vermont. Adams, who married John Belding in 1856 (he died in 1859), was probably the second wife of Charles P. Adams.

Henry Solon Graves was born on May 3, 1871 in Marietta, Ohio. He was a forester and organized the School of Forestry at Yale University. Graves died in Brattleboro, Vermont on March 7, 1951. Graves attended Yale University (B.A. 1892, M.A. 1900), Harvard University, and the University of Munich, Germany. From 1900-1910, he was director of the Yale Forestry School.
