Four page holograph letter sent by Mary Higgins from Montezuma, Iowa to her aunt Lucy Colony, in Tiffin, Iowa. The letter describes the illness and recuperation of a family member and the difficult conditions that farmers were enduring -- poor wheat yields and low apple prices, but the plum crop was good.
