C. (Calvin) Pardee Foulke was a prominent Philadelphia businessman. He was born in Germantown, Pennsylvania on November 16, 1906. His father, a member of the Princeton class of 1905, was Walter Longfellow Foulke (after which Foulke Hall was named) and his mother was Helen Pardee. Foulke attended Chestnut Hill Academy (1914-1920), St. Paul's School, Concord, New Hampshire (1920-1925) and graduated from Princeton University with a degree in English in 1929.
