ALS, 1836 November 7 : Yerba Buena, to Nathan Spear.

Capt. (Joseph) Snook has brought Spear's letter. Leese orders some supplies: "Read Flannel," "Blew Velvett, Pearl Shirt Buttons, Belt Ribbons and Belt Buckles." ... And if in case that the California should have any morr Indian Beeds a Board on hir Return up you will secure them for me ..." Leese, Spear, and William S. Hinckley were in business together for some time; they built the first solid structure in San Francisco.
