Correspondence with Carl Zigrosser, 1945-1972.

Erich Cohn was a prominent collector of the graphic works of Käthe Kollwitz. A great deal of this correspondence concerns a 1945-1947 memorial exhibition of the artists work. Included is a copy of a letter to Cohn from Kollwitz' niece, Johanna Körtner, answering questions and describing the artist's character, and a long letter in German from Hans Kollwitz. Another interest of Cohn's was the sculptor George Kolbe. A late letter from Cohn describes his friendship with John Marin.
