Correspondence with Carl Zigrosser, 1934-1969.

Zigrosser's early correspondence with the Whitney Museum of American Art deals primarily with sales and loans from the Weyhe Gallery to the Whitney. The bulk of the correspondence in this file concerns Zigrosser's 1942 exhibition at the Whitney, Between Two Wars: Prints by American Artists, 1914-1941. This includes letters of appreciation, press releases, clippings, bills, arrangements for loans, Zigrosser's notes and gallery floor plans, and copy for the catalog. Later letters are from Lloyd Goodrich and concern research questions. Other letters are from Hermon More and Juliana Force.
