Consists of ms. translations of three sonnets of Luis de Góngora, translated into English by W. F. Collier. Also includes a xerox copy of an article by Eunice Joiner Gates entitled "A nineteenth century English translator of Góngora," which appeared in the Hispanic Review, vol. VII, 1939, pp. 246-247. In her article she publishes these three translations and indicates that she found them laid into an edition of Góngora that was inscribed by a W. F. Collier and dated 25 January 1825, in the same handwriting as the three translations.
