Correspondence with Alma Mahler and Franz Werfel, 1942-1948.

A number of items, including the 2 letters from Werfel, concern Ullmann's efforts to obtain support for the writing of what he describes as a book on the world history of the theater; in one instance he was seeking Alma Mahler's help to facilitate the publication of a translation by Ernst Lothar of a chapter of the book. Several items contain references to Berta Zuckerkandl, especially with respect to a memoir about Austria which she had recently finished and was trying to have published.
