Lucy Tal (née Traub; b. 1896) was the widow of the Viennese publisher Ernst Peter Tal (1888-1936), of E. P. Tal & Co. Verlag. She was apparently a good friend of Alma. Mitchell was a music critic; in 1959 he writes as music adviser for Faber and Faber Limited. Lucy Tal was the wife of Ernst Peter Tal, the head of the Viennese firm E.P.
